Judge Milan Stanić
Milan Stanić was born in Osijek, in 1954. He completed his primary and secondary education in Belgrade where he also graduated from Belgrade Faculty of Law in 1979. He got his first job in the First Municipal Court, Belgrade in 1980 and two years later, in 1982 he passed the bar examination. In 1985 he was first appointed a judge. He served as judge of the Fifth Municipal Court and as a solicitor and judge in the Court of Appeal in Belgrade. As a judge he has dealt with a variety of criminal matters and civil cases.
During his career of a lawyer he dealt with criminal and civil matters. He also participated in criminal proceedings before ordinary and military courts, as well as before the European Court of Human Rights and the International Criminal Court for war crimes committed on the territory of the former Yugoslavia.
He was appointed as Constitutional Court Judge in April 2010.
His judicial function ended on 29 April 2019, when his term of office expired.
